Message from Organizers

Dear Attendees,

On behalf of the Organizing Committees, we would like to thank everyone who attended the Closing Ceremony of the International Year of the Periodic Table (IYPT2019).

Through IYPT2019, we have deepened our understanding of the Periodic Table and shared our knowledge and enthusiasm far and wide. IYPT has seen activities, performances, and artworks that we would not usually associate with the Periodic Table, and provided people around the world with the chance to understand the importance of science and the elements in their everyday lives.

We hope that IYPT2019 has connected you to people that you would not have otherwise met, and inspired you to use the Periodic Table to develop new concepts and materials that will enrich all aspects of our lives. We hope that 50 years from now, on the 200th anniversary of the Periodic Table, future generations of scientists will look back to IYPT2019 as the starting point of many new partnerships and initiatives that have changed our world for the better.

We thank you once again for joining us in Tokyo for the Closing Ceremony of IYPT2019.
